Got Data? Can you trust it?
When someone interacts with your website, say, a new member joins or a client registers for an event or a quote, you get data. This data sits in your MMS or CMS and your system (hopefully) helps to somewhat automate and manage communications with your members and customers.
This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship. The data you collect, and the subsequent contact and communication, creates the foundation of future communications, engagement and continued affiliation.
What happens when that data becomes duplicated, old, incomplete or corrupt? We call it Dirty Data.
A Tower Data report states “Data decays at an average rate of 2 percent per month.” In real terms, this can amount to a quarter of your data being obsolete within a year. Therefore, it is vital that you stay on top of maintaining the information that you have.
Dirty Data is a drain on your digital resources. You are paying for emails to outdated email address, you have on file old phone numbers, you may even be spamming members who have blocked your emails and never ever see them. So how do you fix it? You clean it.
Data cleaning is something that needs to be done regularly to make sure the data you have on the system you use works the best for your needs without blowing the budget. This maintains a current client, member and supplier contact database, ensures continued communication with those who are actively engaging and want to be noticed.
Once your data is clean and accurate, the real worth can be reached through system reporting and data visualisation, the gold at the end of the data rainbow. A report is only as good as the data used to produce it.
By maintaining your data, you save money, enable the best business decisions, and make your data work for you, not against you.
If you suffer from:
- Duplicate Records
- Poor Quality Data
- Undeliverable (Bounce) Emails, or
- Poor email click-through and response stats
You need clean data, we can manage your data for you. We can develop your data, to ensure it is accurate, high quality, complete, consistent and we will also maintain that gold standard for you.
